The Chicago Chapter, in partnership with The GRAMMY Foundation, hosted a GRAMMY SoundCheck with Capitol Music Group recording artist A Fine Frenzy aka Alison Sudol on March 12, 2008, at Schubas Tavern in Chicago, Ill. The event gave approximately 15 GRAMMY U members a chance to go behind the scenes of a nationally touring live act. The session began with the students watching Alison sound check as Chapter staff answered questions and filled the students in on all the intricacies involved in a sound check.
After the sound check, the students attended an intimate 30-minute question and answer session with Alison Sudol. The singer/piano player discussed how she got her start in the music industry, where she finds inspiration for her unique style of music, and the ups and downs of life on and off tour.
