On May 6, Florida Chapter presented the GRAMMY U Career Workshop at Storer Auditorium at the University of Miami.
The event featured a panel discussion with top industry professionals about the various career opportunities and how the different careers interlace with each other in the ever changing music industry. The panel was moderated by GRAMMY/Latin GRAMMY winner Dan Warner and featured Aldo Gonzalez, A&R manager, Universal Music Latino/ Machete Music; Monica Jordan, A&R manager, Sony/ATV Publishing; Melanie Masterson, artist manager, Eleven:11 Entertainment, Inc.,and Jessica Roffe, Director, Latin Writer/Publisher Relations, BMI.
The Career Workshop also hosted a demo review session in which students were able to bring their work and get feedback from each panelist’s perspective.
GRAMMY Career Day closed with a performance by Eddy Bayes.
