Miami - GRAMMY U Kick-Off

On September 26, Florida Chapter hosted its annual GRAMMY U Kick-Off event at University of Miami's I-Lounge. While enjoying complimentary food and beverages, students who attended this event were presented with the opportunity to interact one-on-one with five Florida-based music industry professionals:

Beth Cohen- vocalist/vocal coach (Lindsay Lohan, Jada Pinkett-Smith)

Michael Dagnery – Latin GRAMMY^®-winning producer/VP Content & Development, MTV Music Networks Latin America)

Melanie Masterson- artist manager, Eleven:11 Management

Elsten Torres - GRAMMY^®/Latin GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter

Dan Warner- GRAMMY/Latin GRAMMY-winning producer/instrumentalist (Alejandro Sanz, Shakira)

The industry professionals were seated at individual tables and students were encouraged to approach them with questions about the entertainment/music industry. The event concluded with a live performance by University of Miami student artist Ashlee M (picture above).
