Atlanta - New Officers elected to the Atlanta Chapter Board

The Atlanta Chapter would like to introduce our new Chapter Officers.

BILLY JOHNSON, Chapter President, Thom "TK" Kidd, Vice-President, Gwen Hughes -Secretary.
BILLY JOHNSON - Billy has over 30 years’ experience in the Entertainment Industry. The last 20 years as CEO of Crossover Entertainment Group, Inc. Crossover is a full service entertainment company offering music and sports related services, for major touring artists and athletes. Crossover is located in a 20,000 square ft. rehearsal complex constantly utilized for tour preparation, pre-production, dance auditions, castings, television commercials and video shoots. Current clients include, Janet Jackson, Katy Perry, B.O.B, Justin Bieber, NE-YO, T-Pain, Ciara, and more. Crossover has a full service state-of-the-art instrument and backline rental company. Crossover provides rental equipment to touring artist locally and nationally.
THOM “TK” KIDD - Kidd has worked as an audio engineer in Atlanta since 1983. He held positions at Crescendo Recorders and Cheshire Sound, as well as independently engineering a long stream of multiplatinum records. He engineered projects for major R&B talents including Gladys Knight, Bobby Brown, Dru Hill, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Elton John, and Mya. In 1996, TK oversaw the construction and operations as Chief Engineer of Silent Sound Studios and in 2006, he purchased Silent Sound where he continues to expound on the legacy of the facility providing a recording environment for many of today's most elite artists.
GWEN HUGHES- Hughes keeps jazz alive by pushing its boundaries beyond the standards, into the songs of such artists as Led Zepplin, The Zombies, & John Denver (all recordings, Fairfield Records). Board Governor with The Atlanta Recording Academy, also Artist in Residence with The GA Music Hall of Fame/Johnny Mercer Foundation; & multiple winner of Creative Loafing's BEST JAZZ ARTIST. Recording projects include producers Drew Young (Putumayo) & Danny Kopelson (Blue Note), among others. Touring internationally on the concert scene, she is also passionate about music education: past educational trips visited the slums of Nairobi, Kenya; Paris, France; & Casablanca, Morocco.
